Setting up Metamask for $YAE on Binance Smart Chain

$YAE is a cross-chain asset that can be used on the Ethereum blockchain (ETH) and on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). If you’re a Metamask user, you can simply add a network to your configuration allowing you to switch between ETH and BSC easily.

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to set up Binance Smart Chain mainnet. If you want to add a testnet configuration as well, you can refer to this article from the Binance Academy.

Let’s get started!

Step 1 : Open Metamask and navigate to the top section where the drop-down menu is.

Step 2 : Select Custom RPC and enter the following

Network name: Binance Smart Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
Chain ID: 56 (in case it doesn’t work, try 0x38)
Currency Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer: https://bscscan.com

Click Save and you can now select this network from the dropdown menu at the top.

Step 3: Now, add $YAE to your custom list of tokens.

  1. Scroll down until you see the Add Token button.
  2. Click the Custom Token tab.
  3. Enter the following:
    Token Contract Address: 0x4ee438be38f8682abb089f2bfea48851c5e71eaf
Token symbol and Decimals will fill automatically with
    YAE and 18.
  4. Click “Next”.

Congratulation 🎉!
Your Metamask is now configured to display YAE and to interact with the contract on the Binance Smart Chain

You can also import $YAE to Metamask in one click
